Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Plainly stated: what this work is, what it is not, and what we each agree to.

The agreement

These terms govern your use of The Medicine Wheel Journey website and any coaching or complementary practice work you undertake with Kayla Hughes of Happiness ~ Wisdom ~ Harmony. By using the site, applying, or booking a session, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What this work is, and what it is not

The Medicine Wheel Journey is a coaching and complementary practice experience. It is not medical, psychiatric, or psychological treatment, it is not a substitute for professional medical or mental-health care, and no specific outcome is promised or guaranteed.

Nothing offered here diagnoses, treats, or cures any condition. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health concern, please work with a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or in danger of harming yourself or someone else, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately.

Who can take part

This service is for adults aged 18 and over. You agree that the information you give us is accurate, that you are participating by your own choice, and that you are responsible for your own decisions and wellbeing.

Sessions, bookings and payment

Sessions are arranged directly with your practitioner. Any fees, scheduling, cancellation terms and refund arrangements are those agreed with you in writing before the journey begins. Please raise anything unclear before you commit.

Your part

  • Participate honestly and let your practitioner know what you need.
  • Tell your practitioner about anything that affects your safety or capacity to take part.
  • Understand that you may pause, decline, or stop any practice at any time.
  • Take responsibility for acting on, or not acting on, anything discussed in a session.
  • Keep your account details private and let us know if you think your account has been used by someone else.

Confidentiality and its limits

What you share in session is held in confidence, and your records are visible only to you and your practitioner.

There are limits, and it is fairer to state them plainly: confidentiality may be set aside where there is a risk of serious harm to you or another person, where a child or vulnerable person may be at risk, where the law requires disclosure, or where a court orders it.

Your practitioner's responsibility

Your practitioner works within the limits of her training and competence, maintains professional boundaries, and will tell you when another professional or form of support would be more appropriate. Nothing in this work creates a therapeutic, medical, or legal relationship beyond coaching and complementary practice.

Intellectual property

The written material, session structure, threshold content, recordings and other resources on this site belong to The Medicine Wheel Journey and are provided for your personal use. Please do not copy, share, or reuse them commercially without written permission.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure. You may delete your account at any time from the account menu inside the app. We may suspend or end access where these terms are broken or where continuing would not be safe or appropriate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, The Medicine Wheel Journey and Kayla Hughes are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or from decisions you make following a session. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here removes your statutory rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which your practitioner resides, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of that jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version always appears on this page with its date, and continued use of the site means you accept it.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, ask before you commit. Use the application form on the Journey page.
